Bio

Digital Media is a big and evolving world. My goal is to help you navigate the unknown and support you in what you already have established.

I have a degree in Communications from Ouachita Baptist University, but most of what exists today in digital media was not part of the curriculum then. I was working at Ouachita in 2004 when Facebook went public and began then a discovery mode of incorporating these new technologies within the organizations where I worked. I worked in a collegiate environment for 9 years and then moved to the non-profit sector.

In that role, I was the executive director of the American Cancer Society for North Arkansas. I was responsible for a team of community managers who worked directly with volunteers across the state. Among my team, I would create seasonal fundraising challenges, weekly newsletters, and creative social media campaigns for stewardship, recruitment, and fundraising.

Following that, I served on the communications team for 4 years for a large church in Northwest Arkansas. I started as an Online Community Manager, challenged with growing a social media presence and building content. Within a year I was promoted to Digital Media Director and added Web Administrator to my title the following year. I led our media team through a website redevelopment and redesign that included a database integration for essentially five websites inside one. A big project that took us two years to complete!

In 2018, I became a mom for the first time and it afforded me the chance to stay home with my new little man and take what I've learned and support other growing businesses. My portfolio page will connect you with some of the work I've been doing.

As a blogger for over 10 years, I've always played in the digital space and tried to keep myself right at the front when it comes to early adoption and exploring new technologies. I'd love to talk with you about the needs of your organization and what can do to partner together to accomplish those goals.
