Current

I serve as the American Cancer Society Volunteer Strategy Lead for the South Region. in this role, I equip the volunteers in the south region who work with local Relay For Life events to resources for them to use on their local social media accounts.  This includes fundraising tools, monthly mission topics, overarching topics and priorities of the American Cancer Society, and onboarding training. I recently co-hosted a national training for volunteers on the importance of Creating the Social Connection and tips for new volunteers in the social/online chair positions. We tackled the importance of social media to the communication of their local event, editorial calendars, scheduling posts, and effective techniques for finding, curating, and building new content. In 2020, I added a volunteer role as the Digital Media Strategy Lead on the National Volunteer Leadership Team.

I also serve in a volunteer role with the Sevier County (Arkansas) Economic Development and Tourism team. I build and maintain the Visit Sevier County Tourism website, social media accounts, and marketing efforts. I'm a featured speaker and trainer in the Power Hour small business owner program. I've also taught a couple of classes through the UA Cossatot Continuing education program. Topics include, iPhone Photography, Getting a piece of the Tourism Pie, Using Social Media for Your Business, and Building an Online Presence Without a Website.

During fall 2020, I taught two classes as part of the Downtown Eureka Springs Level Up! program focusing on Creative Content and Getting a piece of the tourism pie. My passion to help small business owners take advantage of free tools and utilize their unique stories to connect in a digital space continues to drive and grow my business.
